Youth Suicide: A cry for Hope
Youth suicide has unfortunately become more prevalent, and it is crucial to comprehend the reasons behind it and the measures being taken to tackle this issue. As per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in 2021, more than 13,000 students in India lost their lives to suicide, averaging over 35 deaths per day. This marked a 4.5% increase from the previous year, with 864 out of 10,732 suicides attributed to the stress of "failure in examination." These numbers are not mere statistics; they represent the tragic loss of young lives, as confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO). The pressure on young individuals today is immense. The competition for academic and career success has intensified, leaving many feelings overwhelmed and incapable of coping.
